Yet people still complained about ToM not working with BoL anymore. This is exactly what Bungie was trying to avoid by doing that, for a good reason. Apparently doesn't matter

-
If only, instead of bungie nerfing it, they had instead brought other guns up to its damage potential.
-
No, they don't want people one phasing Vosik with a primary
-
This is really the only place beside besides the final 2 bosses in kings fall where touch of malice is actually useful.
-
And that's what Bungie intended, they meant for ToM to be good in Kings Fall but knew that it could potentially break every other boss fight. Thus the BoL nerf.
-
But if it is supposed to be the last thing you get from kings fall, and it's only useful in the raid, then why is it useful again?
-
Because it's more useful than most other weapons in the raid? What kind of question is this? Theres nothing better at Daughters, and very good at Oryx.
-
But what's the point of even doing the raid if you already have everything is my point. What good is the weapon if it's only good at that raid and you have everything from said raid?
-
A. Having ToM does not mean you have everything from the raid. B. Most people do raids even though they have everything, especially now since you get ornaments. C. Raids are a source of legendary engrams and other materials. D. Why even play Destiny at all? This game is nothing but repeating the same content over and over again, that's how MMORPG's work. If you don't like it, don't play it. I think it's great that ToM is KF focused, it's a very useful tool for the raid. I will NEVER complain about having useful weapons.
-
I like this game. I just hate the idea of a weapon being only useful in one piece of the game. It's the only weapon that's like that. And you pretty much have everything without doing the kings fall raid at all. The armor is ugly. The weapons are the worst of all the raids(but I do love smite with firefly). It takes longer to reload zaouli's bane than pre-nerf stormtrance duration.
-
Smite is good. Doom is pretty good. Qullims is an amazing machine gun. The fusion is actually good whether you're willing to believe it or not, and the sniper is also really good. But, you're mad that ToM is useful during the raid? It's still more useful than a lot of exotics that are in the game. How often do you use Boolean gemini, hereafter, or young wolves howl? They wanted to make a weapon that could make use of the invulnerability, and they did. It's also fun to use in PvP, not amazing but fun.
-
Hey boolean gemini is actually a very good weapon. I used it when it first came out and it actually stood up to the meta. Not sure about now though.
-
When it came out, scouts were the meta. And it got wrecked by MIDA every single time.
-
Then everyone was using it wrong. I was tearing through everybody in my path with it.
-
If you had been playing good players, MIDA would have dumped all over you every time.
-
Are you calling me bad? I'll have you know I went phantom twice in a row in mayhem rumble using nothing but nlb before it was buffed. I also snipe mid close range so there was no camping for me.
-
Okay? Cool story. I didn't call you bad, I called your opponents bad.
-
Yeah but in order for my opponents to be bad, my kd would be bad too.
-
Not true. SBMM isn't perfect, and also wasn't in effect at the beginning of year 2
-
It wasn't? I thought it took effect when year 2 started. Either way I played more than one match with gemini so maybe I didn't encounter a mida
-
Maybe it did? I honestly don't remember, I just remember the news coming out during the winter. It was a ninja addition that they didn't mention initially. Regardless, SBMM isn't perfect by any stretch of the imagination. Also, MIDA was objectively better at that time, and probably still is to this day. It kills in the same number of shots with a faster fire rate. It no longer has high caliber rounds, but it did then. If you got in a gun fight with Boolean vs MIDA, they would have a faster ttk on you and make you flinch like crazy. I believe Boolean also has high Cal, but you can't beat the hair trigger. It's also a better scout for closer range engagements. Sorry, but Boolean just doesn't have anything going for it that you couldn't get something better with a legendary scout of the same archetype. It's sad, but true. If you can do well with Boolean, you should try getting a god roll scout of the same archetype, then you can use an exotic special or heavy.
-
Oh I don't use it anymore. I used to use it how long ago. Vision of confluence is the new ruler.
-
Oh yes, vision is spectacular for just about everything. Love that weapon.
-
So glad bungie made the old weapons updated rather than make trash new ones. Now all I need to do is have rngesus drop me a praedyth's revenge and equip my god roll btrd. Then I will have my y1 setup
-
I need Praetorian Foil to finish my VoG set again, so good for oracles. Praedyths is a great PvP sniper though. But BTRD... Best MG in the game hands down. Still have mine with battle runner, crowd control, and smallbore. Better than Qullims in every stat, more ammo in the mag... Incredible.
-
I'll give you my foil if you give me titan boots and found verdict I have 2. One with hidden hand, armor piercing, and persistence. The other with hidden hand and rodeo. I once went on a 23 kill streak only using abilities and the latter.
