Who's exited? It's basically if Half Life and Dead Space had a baby, for those who don't know.
Edit: been playing Prey all night, and it only gets better then the demo!
[spoiler]Eventually, you get to start scanning different types of aliens and gain their powers, however, there are downsides the more you get, such as the turrets recognizing you as an alien threat.[/spoiler]

Meh I played the demo it completely turned me off of the game I was interested up until this point. Not even going to waste my time and money on prey though I understand how it could appeal to some people.

That spoiler is GREAT to know. Ive been using every chance i get to fabricate neuromods (got it very early before I left demo limits) Screw the shotgun ammo you have no idea how good it feels to make 6x neuro mods between fabricatons. I also fabricated a few weapon upgrade kits before getting off so im pretty sure what im doing is ESSENTIAL to hardest difficulty runs. When you get to go to space i almost jizzed on the screen. ( got all over my pants instead :( .. )

It's hardly a prey game. It's a new IP with the Prey logo put on it. Which is unfortunate to me. It looks cool. Maybe I'll pick it up in a year or two.

4 RepliesPlayed a few hours last night and I haven't even gotten past the demo area yet because I found new areas I didn't discover when playing the demo. Like there's a whole -blam!-ing top floor of the neuromod division you can get to with the gloo gun or repair skill and it has a stun gun and multiple rooms you can get access to. I found the code to volunteer quarters and went there. Opened it up and it was dark and scary looking as -blam!- so that's where I stopped for the night lol

I don't know why but when I see gameplay of it I get bored, it looks... just kinda like your typical Bethesda quasi open world game only futuristic... Also I think about the old Prey 2 and cry cause that looked far better than this in my opinion That said, I might attempt to buy it and see how it is, as I'm going to be selling my Xbox one and everything for some money, as I have my gaming Pc now.

2 RepliesI still need to try the demo. I was just going to give it a go when a friend got but for now they are boycotting it due to Bethesda bullying an indie dev into changing their game name a bit because it included the word "prey" in the title.

I was deeply intrigued at first, especially from the opening Half-Life vibes (my favourite single-player game ever) and System Shock too. But it's still got Arkane's inherent clunkiness from Dishonoured. It's not as smooth as I'd like, despite the intrigue and some good ideas, and that obstacle to accessibility puts me off.
