Theory: The Vape that Seren gave Ia made her mind more susceptible to sway. Seren could have used her (Quote) "Crazy-freaky mind powers" to manipulate Ia's mind, uncovering the "dust diamond" nickname. This would have also revealed to Seren the death of Ia's mother. Makeup or the "mind powers" could have easily tricked Ia into thinking Seren had the scars. So, I put to Azidamadjida that Seren is not Ia's mother, and is only manipulating her like everyone else.
