Just on the topic of pvp, in the podcast you stated that bungie has to decide what kind of pvp they want in their game. Which to my knowledge they have stated pvp isn't meant to be mlg competitive and made it that way, those who have been pushing for destiny pvp to move more towards a competitive pvp is us the community. What bungie really need to do is state this how thing are going to be in pve/pvp and that they love to have us on the ride but if you don't like it than the game isn't for you. Now I'm not saying we can't voice our concerns to them but we don't have the right to tell them to change their game design because we don't like how it plays. Game developers put stupid amount of time and money into their game and to have someone them it wrong because it doesn't suit their play style is stupid. I've personally accepted all changes even if I don't agree with them, it bungie game they can do what they like. Just as I live my life the way I want (with in laws of society). To the stickies matter I don't believe them to op like so many claim and I think most streamers feel same, what is frustrating is have a guy dead to rights and only to lose the fight because he throw a sticky while I back around a corner and it follows me. I might be one of the few who finally give up on whining and complaining and accepted that this game pvp never meet all my requirements but I enjoy it simply because of the abilities and gun play.

  • I think there lies the problem for Bungie, if this game is gonna look like another cod in space they would loose a lot of costumers. We never new were this game was heading in the past years so we kept hoping that it would go to the right one, so we kept faith and bought the next dlc and the next. That was in favor for Bungie, ans so they never changed there marketing plans. What if they have said , guys this is gonna be all about pvp in the future?? It would have bin a huge turn off for me and my friends. So dont expect concrete statements from Bungie, it wont boost there sales. Cheers.

  • I think you miss the point that me and sol are discussing here, what we are talking about is if bungie wants pvp to competitive like that of CoD or halo, or keep it casual like it is when it first launched. Destiny is far from becoming like cod or halo

  • Of course its not like cod yet, but when you look how Destiny started and look at it now there is a huge difference, almost every nerf was pvp related in one way or another, all in favor of balancing pvp. There main focus became pvp, so i woudnt be suprised if this trend will continue in D2. Most streamers or youtubers are pvp oriented as well, and they are a huge part of Destiny promotion/ advertisement. All the more reason for Bungie to cater them and they did in the past. There is basicly nothing wrong with that , its there game . All i am saying is you cant fortell what Bungie is gonna do in the future with this franchise, you can only look back at this moment and its not looking good for pve oriented players, they took a lot of fun out of the game during vanilla. Stil hope i am wrong though.

  • Their main focus didn't become pvp that myth this community came up with because they don't understand game development. The main focus has and will alway be pve that why there my pve content than pvp. Finally balancing is done off pvp because it is alive unlike pve. Yes pve and pvp should be separated but bungie decided not to which is their choice.

  • Myth or not, the huge dry spells this game has had shifted Bungies focus to pvp and pve suffert for it and thats a fact. Even when statistics say more people play pve then pvp ,it didnt show that in Bungies actions. Most extra content they produced was recycled content or somehow related to Eververse, or both. Running missions or strikes backward isnt my idear of new content. Its hard to keep openminded for the future, in retrospect you think what the hell went wrong here. Cheers

  • From this small argument you have shown that you don't understand game development and choice that developers have to make. It may seem bungie focused on pvp because they can push out patches in 6 months but that isn't content. Yes bungie failed at releasing content during dry spells, but yet you have no proof like the rest of community why going to happen in destiny 2 or bungie's plans for it.

  • We never did know what they would do next , they dont communicate verywell with us . As i said before we can only look back , you can argue if they have to communicate with us ,but that is a choice they made , they didnt really. I dont have to know how you should develope a game to have an opinion do i. Bungie isnt new to the bussiness so they should know better. And clearly they made some bad choices during vanilla, i am sorry you dont think so , we agree to disagree on that. Cheers.

  • Ah, but alas there is only one Halo game that was actively designed with competitive in mind. Thank goodness the others weren't and were designed for fun.

  • What you call fun can be different to what I call fun. A game developer should choose who their pvp plays and the community should accept and if you don't like it simply stop playing

  • I know that people have different views on fun. Also, yes, game developers should be able to choose how their game plays. Its just that well, some of what 343I focused on, including a competitive focus, has resulted in some things that I, and many others have not liked. I can go into more discussion on this if you want, but I don't really want to get involved in salt. That is one of the sad things about this forum... so many people focusing on salt, rather than trying to be positive and have a discussion.

  • I agree they been bending to will of the community instead sticking to their philosophy, which can destroy a game quicker than bugs and glitches

  • That's why they need to decide what they want D2 to be and stick with it.

  • That they do and we as community need to accept their decision
