I hear ya. However, I don't believe bungivision gets a cent from preorders. I paid $5 for a Cayde figurine, access to the early beta and a guaranteed copy of the game when it releases. My $5 was not sent to activision. And I can get my 5 bucks back without a purchase. I don't understand this 'don't preorder' hype.

  • I've been saying this, usually people don't respond. It's comical to think about all the people who don't understand how this works

  • When you pro-order the digital copy (which a surprisingly large number of people such as myself do), you have to pay full price up front. And cancelling a pre-order on a digital purchase is a nightmare. Reason I buy digital is because me and a buddy gameshare with each other.

  • When I pre ordered digital it told me that I would be charged no sooner than 10 days before release. That's after gameplay reveal and beta, plenty of time to cancel the order.

  • Odd. When I went to pre-order Rise of Iron on PSN, I had to pay up front. Think it's a recent change to the system though.

  • I don't know man, either Xbox is different or different rules apply to a dlc than to a title release. Those are the only things I can think of

  • When I pre-ordered Mass Effect in February I had to pay up front as well. Didn't mind though, game was totally worth it.

Yea, any argument that's not supported by facts or real evidence.

  • You are correct. They do not get any money before delivering a product.

  • Mhmm. And do you not select from a menu that says "select a retailer" or anything along those lines?

  • Depends on the tier you purchased.

Since you won't answer, I'll walk you through it. Bungie Store does not sell pre-orders. You are referring to destinythegame.com. When shopping at destinythegame.com, you choose your product (tier as you called it). Then you select your platform, then country. Then you click Pre-Order, and you are taken to a list a places to pre-order from: -Digital Deluxe offers GameStop and either Microsoft or Sony. -Digital Standard, Microsoft or Sony. -Standard, list of physical stores (i.e. Best Buy, Target, etc.) And Amazon, none are Bungie stores. -Game + Expansion Pass, same list as digital. -Expansion Pass alone, GameStop. -Limited Edition, GameStop. -Collector's Edition, physical stores and Amazon. So no, they do not get your money at the time of purchase.

  • You could even cancel your pre orders you made on their game. But yeah, your purchase involves the middle man, retailers.

  • And which retailer did you choose?
