Might be the same problem I had with battlefront 2. Wouldn't load single player at all, so I uninstalled and then a month later is started working. Try uninstalling and reinstalling

I'm a bit confused, did you wait a month to reinstall or reinstalled then waited a month?

I uninstalled and then a month or two later decided to reinstall and it was suddenly working. I had reinstalled plenty of times before that, so I guess valve fixed it. It was right after it went on sale so maybe that has something to do with it. Just try uninstalling and reinstalling. No need to wait a month
