Yes and increases damage just like any other Boss. If you have two hunters consider having one with tether and one with celestial nighthawk. Have fun and may RNG be forever in your favor.

RNG was my bitch tonight.😎Got exotic-Epilogue and Timepiece(legendary) from templar with my Titan then VoC and Vex from Atheon(did anyone else get it at 360?!?) along with the helmet, arms and legs. Just did up to Templar with my Hunter and I picked up the cloak, skybyrners annex, from the chest under the first chest after opening the vault, then PFoil(legendary) and exotic-Fatebringer from Templar. Hopefully when I finish the raid out I can get a special or heavy.

Having downed Atheon twice so far doing the challenge mode I can confirm that the tether does not negate times vengeance. Have fun and may RNG be forever in your favor.
