Those builds are boring. Be a pyromancer or a paladin(battle cleric). They are very strong and a lot more fun than your basic bitch quality builds.
If you're going to be a paladin, I recommend a Raw (since you will only barely be able to use it, stat wise) +10 Dragonslayer Axe for your melee weapon. Infusing it with Lightning Blade gives it around 600 damage, which is awesome for how fast it swings.

Can you actually win with these builds? All I've heard about magic builds from the community is that they're just trash against strength, dex, or quality builds.

Edited by shell: 4/4/2017 1:41:56 AMThat's because most people just get their basic bitch spells and don't dedicate the time to polish the build, and usually abandon the build before scratcting the surface of what the best spells are capable of. Look up some videos to help you get your footing if you've not done a magic build before. You can do some crazy shit. [spoiler]If you're willing, you might want to create a new character to do one of the builds I'm mentioned, since spells like Sunlight Spear and Chaos Bed Vestiges require boss souls you probably used already.[/spoiler]
