Honestly, you need the dlc to compete now. Ringed city has a few op weapons that are just gonna be a pain in the ass to deal with. And it's a really good dlc,so not a wasted buy

Is the area worth 15 dollars? Is it a quarter games worth? I was on the fence about buying the DLC so I just got bloodborne and decided to hold off. ~ Making America Great Again ~

It really is. Ashes of ariandel, i can understand people questioning as it was rather small. But it's bigger than that, and much more interesting (both in style and lore). Has the most badass weapons in the game. 3 main bosses, 1 optional, and 1 mini boss that was a nice surprise. Most of the reviewers agree, it's one of the best dlcs in the series. If you like the game, don't pass it up. If you're really into the lore of the games, consider getting both. Ashes was short, but still fun. And has a small tie-in to the ringed city
