Hugely mediocre compared to what people expected. Whether our expectations were too high or the quality of the game is too low is another debate.
Just very average and overall forgettable. Not a good thing or a bad thing, just kind of there.

I can tell you right now that it isn't forgettable, it's rememberable.

Good thing I stayed away from every single video, every discussion and every news outlet to not know a single thing about this game other than we're going to a different galaxy which immediately sold me being a big space guy. Didn't know what to expect and the game I got definitely earns a 8/10 for me.

It's a shame you feel that way. 7/10 would be a good game too, "unforgettable" would be down at 5 or below. 7 is too high to be forgettable lmao.
