It's more intuitive, IMO, which counts if you're working on the in-game 'skills' required to play the game (mainly dodging and keeping up speed to avoid the Darkness' poor aim). Casual players pick up a game again faster when it's easy to remember, and people change button assignments or even controllers/input devices all the time.
I edited the post for clarity: I meant having another button doing the same thing, not moving the button. And like most games, when Destiny ends is when the rest of the world gets access to it too :D
