GOOD. Been wanting to check out the story. I hope it lives upto the greatness of the original trilogy

I really doubt it will. I believe it will be good (contrary to current trends among new releases) and I actually can't really see where they're going with the whole "space pioneer" thing. But I think that the trilogy will be remembered as better for two reasons: It was actually incredibly awesome, and nostalgia. Then again Andromeda will bring a lot of newbies to the franchise, so you never know.

Edited by moist nana: 3/15/2017 10:43:16 AMMy main concern is the main protagonist. I think the reason why i loved played the original 3 MEs is... your playing as a mother-blam!-ing Badass, Commander Sheppard was a badasd even before he reached Space Jesus status. I don't wanto play as some whimpy rookie "finding his way" + what can be a bigger threat than the Reapers?

Actually that's what I like. As much as I loved the trilogy, Shepard seemed like such a cliche action-hero. Save the universe, get the girl, happily ever after, yada yada yada. The Ryder's seem a bit more believable as characters, and looking at them I don't see some war-battered gruff veteran, but rather a rookie (albeit highly experienced) just trying to follow in his/her father's footsteps. So far the Andromeda story seems fresh and rather unique in it's place. There aren't many games about leaving home behind in order to look for a new home and I really like that. It shows me that BioWare actually does want to deviate from the norm. But in the end, yes I agree and believe Andromeda won't live up to the timelessness of the original trilogy. But it'll come close, at least in my book.

Edited by moist nana: 3/15/2017 11:37:40 AMStill.. what are they going to do with the story? Almost every bad protagonist in the original 3 had some sortof connection the Reapers. Another thing i like about the original 3 is speaking to that reaper, uncovering the circle of life and learning about the universes impending doom.. now there all dead.. i hope it's not just a crappy spin off

We know next to nothing about Andromeda'a story, obviously. We don'y know what the Kett are up to, and I don't think we know anything worth knowing about the Remnant. Apparently the vaults will also have an integral role. Imagine trying to peace together the trilogy's story based on information of that quantity. That's not much to go on. It would look at first glance like your stereotypical "save the universe" sci-fi RPG, but it ended up being so much more. It's good to keep an open mind about games, but I also think that the recent influx of dull shooters that once promised a good story has caused a lot of unnecessary skepticism. I don't know where Andromeda's story could go, but that's the thing; I don't know. It could be worse than Destiny or it could be one of the best stories of the decade, only time will tell.
