The difficulty will need to be increased by a ton, otherwise it's just gonna be another excuse for speed runners to ruin it.

Everyone can play the game as they want. Who are you to say they can't? my friend and I love going into strikes and seeing how quick we can run through them. Doesn't mean we are ruining it lol

I didn't say you can't play it that way. I DID say it ruins the strike for people who want to run it differently, and that's true. But i never said you couldn't run it the way you choose. I've advocated for an option to make Matchmaking optional ever since they made it mandatory, specifically BECAUSE i feel that everyone should be able to play however they want.[b][/b]

Wrong, because people who don't want to speed run aren't holding anyone back, because of the teleport mechanic. Out of the two kinds of player, the speedrunners are the more selfish. It's undeniable.

Killing and speed is where the talent is. Especially when you compete against the 2 other guardians for kill count. Your guardians build is crucial.

Doing the job of 3 guardians myself in speed and kills (points). Speed running and NOT killing doesn't take any talent. If you race against 2 other guardians and try to win in kill count (points) then it gets pretty competitive. Always having a grenade and melee, right gun, etc... is all key in winning and fighting large groups of adds up close. And I don't use shotguns. Fusion all the way (thesan). I've had lots of people tell me that what I'm talking about is talentless (pvp players), then I'll play them to show them they can't win and get more than double, sometimes triple the amount of kills than they did (even when they try and use swords lol) and then they get it and see that it does take talent to go suicide in crowds and not die and compete in this challenge. What I used to do is equip the lowest light gear allowed on heroic strikes so it will pair me with 2 low light guardians, then I'd switch back to high light and basically carry them for practice. Since I've started playing this way I get challenged a lot by people to see if they can beat me. I've never lost. D2 will have competitive pve. They've already hired a third party to calculate ranks for it. Just like they did before the challenge of elders point system. I can't wait. I LOVE going ham on strikes and BUNGIE needs to shine light on their talented pve players so all the pvp players will stop thinking it takes no skill. Of course if you sit back like a puss and play heroics it's easy. Fighting super aggressive up close and getting hella combos with burns on -- that are against you -- isn't as easy. I wish we could create custom strikes and story missions like how pvp players can create private matches. I'd make max light enemies, nothing else. That'd be fun. Screw this daybreak crap. I hate how destiny pve is tuned for crappy pve players. There are ways you can wreck shit that most don't know about. Like on malok.. I never go to the back where everyone else goes. I stay at the entrance and play survivor. I've never seen anyone but myself play there because players like to play like pussies and not challenge themselves. I never go to cheese spots. If anyone else does play there I promise it's because someone saw me do it and then they tried it. I've seen other players start in the back and then die and try to stay with me at the entrance when they respawn, but they die again. Lol.

This is all personal preference on your part. I don't play strikes (or any PvE activity) to compete with randoms. It is not a competition to me. It's this "PvP for everything!" attitude that's poisoned gaming for the last ten years or so. PvE does not need to be a competition, in my eyes. It really doesn't.

Whatever, man. The fact is that due to the teleporting mechanic, the speedrunners are able to force their playstyle choice on everyone else. It's not just me saying you're wrong because i disagree with you, it's because YOU ARE WRONG. Okay? I do not give a f*ck about being "special" or whatever you're talking about. I would love to run strikes my way, but i can't, because of Bungie's teleportation mechanic. If it were up to me, matchmaking would be optional, and none of you would ever get paired with me on a strike ever again, and everyone would be all hunky dory.

If anyone on this is great at PVE add me. I'm ranked 1 on several strikes all because I carry the teams I'm matched with. I solo everything and can wreck shit on strikes, but I need 1 or 2 more people that can assist in getting the rest of the first place titles. I have 4 and top 25 in the rest, but like I said.. it's because I carry the other team by getting almost 3 times the amount of kills and it gets annoying having a backpack on all the time. Hmu. YouTube me if you get a chance. Thanks. Add rustopholis with a msg that says PVE.

And I am looking for 2 more guardians to get the rest of the 1st place heroic strike records because I have a lot of them and top 25 In the data base in others, but since I'm paired with random it's difficult getting the 1st place ones alone when no one can keep up with me because they're not good. It calculates speed and kills past the spawn zone. The fact that I'm placing first in something that takes a set fireteam of 3 isn't bad also. Yes strikes are easy, but if you paired with me I'd leave you with about 20 kills vs my 200. That's what the pve event is about. Speed and kill count (points) not hanging back in safe spots and picking off enemies like I'm sure you do and is why I'm sure you call it easy. You can't play in spots I do. You'd die trying to hang. Talent and your guardians build is involved when playing against 2 other good pve players.
