I know, I think the problem is that they announced what they wanted to do too soon, so I'm morning the loss of effort now instead of when the new game is on the horizon and probably would not have cared so much.

I think it was a good move. Imagine how many people would've been pissed about buying silver for the next update, then finding out it wouldn't carry over a few months later.

I'm actually surprised they told us this soon. They have to know that their silver sales are gonna take a hit now that people know their purchases aren't carrying over.

I was thinking the same thing. Maybe they are hoping to hear less complaints if they tell us now as opposed to when the next game comes out, or are hoping people will feel more okay to splurge when the next game comes out because they get to retain it longer.
