Eh; she's alright. Her abilities just kind of make her seem like a supportive hodge-podge, and she seems just jutted into the Overwatch universe.

Have you played her? She ridiculous.
Have you played her? She ridiculous.
I mean as a character, she's alright. By "supportive hodge-podge", I mean that Blizzard just granted her a bunch of random supportive abilities to make her relevant.

Her ultimate is the only "supportive" thing about her. Unless you classify shielding as a support ability. In which case you can call all tanks (excluding hog) "support."

Edited by Cayde: 3/3/2017 10:55:52 PMZarya is technically a support. Reinhardt is a sponge-support. D.Va 's shield is a personal shield, so she isn't much of a support. Winston's shield doesn't last two seconds, so he isn't support either unless you count assisting with damage support. Orisa has a damage boost ability that is not only an ability, but an ultimate ability; her character and rollout is meant (by quotation) "to protect"; she deploys a shield that lasts a hell of a long time; and her gravity orb pulls enemies together so that they're easier to hit. What else is their to say other than that she's a support-focused hodge-podge that's labeled as a tank?

Edited by Mr.Thrasher: 3/4/2017 12:06:53 AMDva shield is far from personal, its protects the team well. If you're just using it for your self then you are using it wrong.
Zarya is technically a support.
Lost me when you said this. Good day.

She gives a temporary overshield to allies,l; unless you're a ten year-old Christmas noob, anyone who plays Overwatch would know that. Her ultimate also serves the same purpose as Orisa's gravity bomb/orb-thing, only that it lasts longer.

You lost me when you tried to call Zarya a support when she serves the role of a tank. I play Zarya and Hog more than anyone, so don't think I don't know how she works. You are the fool here, affiliating tank abilities and support abilities as if they are one in the same, when they clearly are not. Not a single support hero (Symmetra excluded) has an ability of blocking damage. They all use their support abilities to boost damage or heal. That's why they are SUPPORTS. They're kits are built around empowering their teammates. Tanks don't fill that role. The purpose of a tank is to organize and lead a push, and to soak up damage through the use of their abilities and large health pool. Every tank blocks damage, and leads pushes in a different way. - Reinhardt stands up front and soaks all the damage while his team pushes behind him. His charge allows him to initiate team fights. - Winston dives in and causes disruption to initiate in a team fight, allowing his team to converge on the enemy. That's why they call it a "dive comp." - Zarya specializes in soaking up damage for teammates that can't thrive standing behind a Reinhardt, like a Genji or Pharah. That's why you don't play her as a primary tank. You are the fool here. So I'll say it easy enough for you to understand. -Tanks soak up and block damage for their teammates. -Supports empower and heal their teammates. Got it? Great.
Muted.
