The only response I've seen is "Obama lied too." Nobody mentioned Obama, that's not what's being discussed here. People call trump honest but it's simply not true. Does obama lying make it okay for trump to lie? Nope.

Your point is true and valid. But when they say Obama lied too, what they mean is "You didn't care about the truth when it was your side". The problem here is that neither side holds their people accountable. The goals of their selected faction are more important to them than the truth.

I'm not okay with obama lying, any person of power lying spells disaster. But I agree with you the majority of people on both sides don't hold their leaders to the same level of accountability that they do for the leader of the other side.
