Money bets they reverse the special ammo nerf in some way after about a week. Just like they did last time they tried something similar in Trials.

I agree, watch instead of losing all your ammo, you only lose some or you just drop some/all. But I think they'll change it, cause last time they adjusted special it was changed within weeks, if my memory serves correctly.
-
If you think that, then you must be new here.
-
We shall see.
-
No we won't, Bungie has never gone back on a patch once its been announced.
-
Yes they have. In most recent time they announced changes to special in Trials, and changed it a week later. They said they wouldn't touch fire bolts in the April update and a week later, they changed it. It is a rare occurrence, but it has happened.
-
You're mistaken.
-
Nope, you are mistaken.
-
I'm 100% positive that they have never once gone back on an announced change.
-
Watch the April update sandbox stream They clearly said they had no plans on touching firebolts. They even discussed the Trials special ammo with Ice Breaker, they change it within a month. Week later. They changed firebolts. I bet they do something to Skorri in the next week or so too.
-
The icebreaker thing was a hotfix to clean up an unforseen issue and the firebolt was an addition, not a subtraction. As I said, they've never gone back on an announced patch.
-
Technically you can call all buffs to undo weapons/classes that were nerfed as "going back on what they said" and changing it.
-
6 months after the fact isn't altering a patch. Once they announce it, they go through with it no matter what.
-
Might last a bit longer this time. While I do see enough feedback about reverting to sway bungie into reverting it happening, last time it was widely because people would use the weapons in question to cheese ammo for their other legendary weapons. Use Icebreaker/Invective/Sidearms to get ammo, then on death or round over, switch to the weapon of choice.
-
Oh I hope so, as pigeon holing to sidearms or icebreaker in threes will kill their so called weapon diversity. However all nerfs to the roaming supers that are in direct correlation with this change should also be reversed (hungering blade i.e., as we haven't seen if other roaming supers are taking hits as well). Doubt Bungie thought of that though...
