That's odd. Even after seeing the picture, I never remember seeing those creatures. I need to hook up my PS2.
-
10/10 Those things were scary fast.

I would see one distracted with my allies and figured, oh now is my chance You open fire and by the time you realize how much ammo it's going to take, it's already slain all your comrades and is turning to face you The time it takes to reload it's already covered half the distance between you and it, and this profound sense of...mortal helplessness begins to embrace you as all your lifelong regrets about memories flash before your eyes, because you're going to die, right there in that space jungle. And there's nothing you can do about it. Then of course, six years later I played Limbo and it happened all over again

Edited by autimsoid: 2/2/2017 8:37:36 PMI honestly don't remember wildlife attacking me back in the old days... Where is this from? What planet? Felucia is assume. and is this the first or second game?
-
Edited by Garzon: 2/3/2017 12:20:58 AMThis is from the second game, the campaign mission on Felucia. In the very first section you get attacked by a bunch of Acklay. They have 6 bladed legs, are pretty resilient and very fast. I can't believe you don't remember them, they scared the crap out of me.
-
Huh... That explains why I didn't really remember them... I didn't really play the campaign, sad I know lmao, I was a wee lad so I just did quick play against ai mostly, it was still a lot of fun
-
I liked the variety in the objectives in the campaign, you would go from defense to offense to capturing areas or items and taking out specific enemies. There was the Order 66 level where you got to partake in the massacre of the Jedi which was really fun There were some unique levels with the Empire where you fought some illegally-produced clones on Kamino and a CIS holdout on Mustafar
-
THATS IT! IM GOING BACK TO PLAY THE CAMPAIGN!!!! WHAT THE -blam!- AM I MISSING OUT ON?!
-
Please, tell me you at least played Hunt mode as the Wampas and the Gungans...
-
Ummmmm what? No sadly I didn't, but did you say AS wampas? As in... Playing as wampas???
-
The fuсk did you spend the whole time doing?! Yes, AS the wampas! You had this whole melee moveset that was vaguely similar to the Jedi and the whole level you would just gallop through Echo Base clobbering Rebel scum. The Gungans had nothing but thermal detonators and the entire level was spent dive-rolling in panic and dying in fiery carnage. Am I going to have to explain Galactic Conquest and Mos Eisley Assault to you too? You're practically a sinner at this point. Buy a PS2 and repent while you still can...
-
Hahahahaha nah I still have a 360 I can play it on but oh no don't worry I know about galactic conquest and mod eisley assault, though the latter gets quite boring because of match length time ;-; and yeah galactic conquest was great but yeah little child cleric beast loved to play kashyyk, geonosis (battlefront 1 had the better geon map tho), polis masa and space battles, always played the ground missions on conquest, my neighborhood friend and I would just play split screen against bots all the time. I was... Particularly bad lmfao... Well now that I know how much that game had to offer it makes me even more sad about how EA battlefront turned out
-
You LIKED Polis Massa? I shudder in fear at the mere mention of that horrifying slog of a map.
-
Idk man... When you play against bots it's super easy to pull off a ton of BS strats like tank farming so I had fun kinda just messing around with it for an easy win, but I can see why it could be a nightmare online lmao
-
Not even online. Play as the Empire, or the Republic. I dare you, I triple dog dare you to do that on the Elite difficulty and then come back and tell me it isn't a horrifying slog.
-
Oh... Now I see where you're coming from... I'm crying just thinking about it since I usually just play CIS because there so op, as a child dealing with the separatist was a huge pain in the ass so I was usually too pussy to go republic ;-;
-
Super battle droids, magnaguards, droidekas, droid engineers, and assault droids all stacked up in those two corridors. The only hope of bypassing that is taking tanks across the asteroid surface, and your friendly AI is so incompetant you generally have to face 3 tanks on your own, and even then once you get into the enemy tank bay it's also a goddamn spawn point. That map is a ruthless slog of endless pain and misery.
-
Lmfao yeah I see where you're coming from, if you played it wise enough though you could keep bouncing in and out of your spawn with a tank and repairing it every time as an engineer... But that happened as I was playing separatists so I guess I never knew the pain of the republic... And I can definitely see how the tight corridors would make people cry lmao
-
I once got to the point where I was able to out-shoot hordes of droids singlehandedly because of that map. I was able to push past the second med-bay command post and get the droids stuck down in the cave, but they would just cricle around from the second entrance and end up pincering the forces around me, cutting off reinforcements, and then effectively resetting the entire engagement, but we've lost 60 men while they've lost 40. I hate that map.
-
Ouch, yeah I can see how the droids would have a clear advantage lmfao but I mean hey, at least you learned from it and got really good because of it, it's kinda like dark souls "hey have some -blam!-ing bullshit that'll actually kinda help you get better but it's still total bullshit" but hey winning in that map made me feel better about myself so eh I felt like a badass even though it was a nasty advantage, I was really bad as a kid lol
