Bro, we don't need to /discuss... We've literally been discussing this since the beta. Bungie doesn't know how to do it right. I was pretty disappointed with RoI in that respect. I loved RoI for the life span of it...which was like a month. Loved the Dawning too.
But yes, you're so right.

ROI was seriously lacking in the story department. In like 45 minutes I was an Iron Lord. "Wait... already? That was easy! Why aren't there armies of Iron Lords running around?" Sucked all the epic right out of it.
