I've always wondered what the story is with the vault. Why do we want to go in there? What's our beef with Atheon and the Templar? Did we just raid their home and -blam!- up their shit for no reason whatsoever. In the archive mission ghost says "oh there's something called the vault of glass..." IS THAT ALL YOU HAVE TO SAY?? WHY ARE WE EVEN DOING THIS??

The vault was basically the vex's church. We didn't agree with their religion so we killed all of its followers, and the god that they worshiped. We are like the -blam!-ing gustapo of Destiny, the speakers personal militia.

Or perhaps it was a drug heist. The archive told us where the vex was hiding their stash and we had to raid it...
