I was planning to get it until they released DLC...
for an early access game.
Definitely not going to be getting it. It's a slippery slope from here.

They've been on this "slippery slope" for ages now and haven't shown any sign of going further. I hardly see an issue, it's just a little expansion that adds a ton of nonexistent creatures, which is understandable as I know a bunch of people who really did not want that in the game.
-
Its fresh content for a game that has been out since July for p.c, where it runs quite smoothly from all the videos I've seen! The game is a work in progress, the extra dlc is an extra map, why not release on ps4 day 1? It was already completed for PC before release
-
Early access. That means that consumers take the risk that the game may never be released or be forever broken in return for playing the game early, getting it cheaper and free updates. I guarantee when the full game releases, Scorched Earth will be included. What a -blam!-ing slap in the face.
-
If they can charge full price for the game & £15 for the dlc I'm sure they are going with that option! When is official release?
-
Cover up.
Your fanboy is showing.
-
Why? Because I said that the devs would charge for dlc I'm a fanboy??
-
You're defending a shitty, and scummy practice which involves the devs breaking the trust between them and the consumers by lying to them.
-
What did they lie about?
-
The charged for a DLC when the game is early access. If a game is early access, the consumer gets a DLC for free during that time.
-
Where does it say early access games must do this....
-
So where is the lie? And why dose the customer get free dlc? (They have released a free dlc also BTW!)
-
Do you not have any reading comprehension? The consumer gets free DLC because the consumer took a risk in buying an UNFINISHED GAME. They charged for something that should of been in the full game.
-
SO WHAT DID THEY LIE ABOUT???
-
Free -blam!-ing DLC. Don't bother replying if you can't read.
-
Did they say free dlc? No? Didn't think so.
-
It's early access. It's implied and it's what every other dev does.
-
Edited by Guardian9176: 1/22/2017 6:45:34 PMIt's implied by the mere fact that the game is early release (meaning any and all add ons until the game is actually released would be included) to do this is paramount to being sold a hamburger but being told you need to pay extra for any condiments you may chose despite it being implied there would be condiments included.
-
Condiments should come free but I see this as extra bacon... I don't mind paying for extra bacon! :)
-
I can see why people would feel deceived after purchasing said cheeseburger. Personally, I'd forgive the subtle deception when they told me "Hey listen man you'll have to pay for a couple condiments but whether you decide to do that or not we're going to throw you 15 extra sides, 10 drinks, and a couple more entrees on the house."
