There are several grimoire cards that newer players won't be able to get, this is just one of them. It may open up in the future; it may not; the only way to know is to wait and see.

Exactly. If people really cared about collections/lore, then they shouldnt have waited until beginning of year 3 destiny to either start playing or collecting grimoire card items.

I started playing during TTK. Just never collected the ghost. If its paid for in game you should be allowed to obtain it. So your logic is mute imbecile.

See we don't own anything within the game, we just own the license to play their game (all under the EULA). It basically says they can take away anything and everything at any point in time.
