I've found the 'Ironclad' modifier to be mildly annoying this week. There are a few strikes in which nearly [i]everything[/i] has a shield. If you're not using Explosive Rounds on your primary, low-tier mobs become tedious. I shouldn't feel compelled to use anything other than my primary when dealing with shanks.
Tl;Dr: The inclusion of the 'Ironclad' modifier warrants the return of elemental primary weapons.

I'm a big fan of ironclad. Variety of elemental damage and vulnerability make the game more interesting and engaging to me. Match game I think is what the other one is called. That may be the halo skull though. I'm all about having to swap around weapons based on the enemy I'm facing. It's more compelling than than simply viewing my weapons as: regular damage slot, high damage slot, higher damage slot.

This is bunghole getting back at us for not using shank burn weapons. There were lots of them in the gjallarhorn quest mission, and lots during the WOTM raid
