Also there are the fallen and hive battles that spawn

Yes, the Taken patrols are still available. But, the entire point of this post was to bring back the old Minions of Crota and Pack of Wolves to rotate as world events with the Taken one. I mean, outside of the Rubicon Wastes on Mars we don't see any of these older events.

But you can't find them randomly while patrolling. You have to go to a specific area.
