Why not restrict trials to just one lighthouse trip per character per reset? Thatll reduce their ability to do paid for carries a great deal. Theyd be forced to maintain multiple accounts which starts to get pricy at 60-80 per 1 year account.

 • Allowing 1 lighthouse trip per character is not a way to stop or even curb carries. 1. Those doing carries don't need the lighthouse every week - so they just won't go until Monday since they don't buy boons (carry has 9 wins, they have 7) 2. They have 3 characters. So they can still do 2 lighthouse runs and carry with the 3rd. The problem stems from competition being so uneven and the streamers being too good. There's an inherent design flaw when a "competitive, 3v3 endgame PvP mode" can be completed with relative ease by 2 players, or even 1 in some cases. If you really want to put a damper on paid carries, tiers with tiered rewards is the best option. Even the best players/streamers would have a very difficult time trying to 2v3 their way through a card full of top players. Tiers are more inviting to lesser players, thus allowing the mode to actually grow, gives players an actual sense of progression as they climb the ranks, and all but prevents carries at the highest level (which is what people want - Top rewards with little to no effort).

 • 1 run to the lighthouse is not out of the cards as far as what I'm willing to support. I guess I just still support the guys/girls out there who want to help players go flawless, giving those players multiple attempts to do that is inclusive and rewarding for them and their friends. Some people aren't as good with all classes either, so they may actually be in a lower bracket, so there's no need to limit their character runs. The players I don't want to be hurt by a change are the legit, great players, does that make sense?

 • Yeah but the way i see it is that they can limit paid for carries by removing the financial incentive for them (by making it expensive and impractical to do them). It would also take the elite pvpers out of trials after they complete their runs making it easier for your average player to do a legit lighthouse run on their own.

 • Unfortunately, this may be the only way to go.

 • I agree.

 • I think it is. Trials was meant to give an endgame activity for the elite pvpers, but if you abuse your priviledge you lose it. And trials has been so heavily abused its not even funny. Imo, there should be a moratorium on trials until they can figure this stuff out. Short term pain may be necessary to create/find a longterm solution.
