Ok so recoil in this game is cone shape.
Perfect balance will add stability
Rodeo reduces the size of the cone
Counterbalance removes the horizontal recoil. Meaning it will go straight up when shooting. This will make it easier to physically control the recoil on the gun.

Higher Recoil Direction stat means more vertical kick and less horizontal kick. Rodeo exclusively decreases the Recoil Direction stat. Lowering the Recoil Direction stat means less vertical kick and more horizontal kick. Perfect Balance increases both the Stability stat and the Recoil Direction stat. Happy Holidays!

To be exactly precise on the matter: counterbalance; it converts 80% of the horizontal recoil to vertical recoil. Perfect balance; adds +35 to stability and removes 20 from range. That's straight from the patch notes, but hey thanks. Got the point across anyways without having to go super in detail hours ago. Have a good holiday

See, that makes sense. It should just say "removed horizontal recoil", instead of "increases stability", because its current description is very misleading.
