Rap - the enormous amount of illiterate and thuggish fans that comprise of the fanbase.
Metal - the prodigious amount of arrogance and self inflated ego the fans can't help but display. The repulsive trend of long hair doesn't help withal.

So do you just not care about the actual artists at all?
-
I love both rap and metal - but not the fans.
-
So, you are hating a whole genre of music based on the fan bases? I think you missed the whole point of this thread.
-
My comment lines up precisely with the OT, actually.

Edited by genericuser81: 12/23/2016 10:30:56 AMYou appear to be pigeon holing virtually entire fan bases based on the minority of those fan bases........
-
Stereotypes usually aren't created out of thin air. Majority or minority, there are undeniably immense portions of each fan base that fit the bill I've ascribed.
-
..... I don't think you understand the word "minority".
-
I don't think you care to hold your part in this conversation, and just wish to belittle me with nonsensical blabber.

Edited by genericuser81: 12/23/2016 11:51:45 AM
Majority or minority, there are undeniably immense portions of each fan base that fit the bill I've ascribed.
"immense portions" would imply majority, so you basically said "majority or minority there are undeniably a majority of each". The only logical inference is that you don't understand what the word minority means.
-
immense proportions" would imply majority
Let me explain this to you. If I take 1/5 of $10 million, that's still 2 million dollars. Is that not an immense portion of the money? "Immense portions" only implies majority if you perceive it as so. I'm afraid you're victim of your own carelessness.
Let me explain this to you. If I take 1/5 of $10 million, that's still 2 million dollars. Is that not an immense portion of the money?
No, it is 20% and that makes it a minor portion of the total in question. Just like these fans you speak of are a minor portion of the total ie a minority
-
I've never claimed that my descriptions encapsulate the majority of either fanbase.
-
You certainly implied it.
-
You perceived my statement as implying it.
-
That's because you very clearly implied it. Whether that was your intention or not is a different story.

Edited by CrunchyYiff23: 12/23/2016 12:19:47 PMThe world doesn't revolve around you. Different people will absorb my wording in opposing ways. You don't get to decide if people are truly suggesting something indirectly through their comments. If you perceive it as so? Feel free to take it that way.
Metal - the prodigious amount of arrogance and self inflated ego the fans can't help but display. The repulsive trend of long hair doesn't help withal.
Indicates basically all of them ie an overwhelming majority, an immense portion etc etc. The English language doesn't revolve around you, you don't get to choose meanings or implications. Somehow I still don't think you'll get this so I am done with this conversation. Perhaps in the future you should try to say what you actually mean.

It's actually hilarious you lack basic reading comprehension. The complete ignorance of English along with the subjectivity of words and their meanings. Please go annoy someone else.

Shhh Shhh Shhh, hush now. Pay more attention in English class from now on.

Yeah, you definitely must be a troll. Bye!
