malok is a thrall. he was aligned with one of oryxs sisters (cant remember her name and cant remember if hes necessarily her spawn?). that sister sent him to infiltrate oryxs party (not sure if he was auryx at the time still), oryx found out, and to taunt his sister he named the thrall and gave it power. thus making him the pride of oryx. edit: funnily enough, when you kill him in the strike it gives you a medal for killing taken knight.
