I knew that all the main characters had to die to make it a big sacrifice for Episode IV. But I was worried that they would just make some crap, long-drawn out death scenes. In the end I was honestly blown away by the deaths. Each one was masterfully done, made perfect sense and was also really emotionally harrowing. Jyn and Cassian making it to the beach and holding hands while the Death Star fired on them nearly brought me to tears.
