Shotguns are fine.
Closing speed is the issue.
A fast pace shooter...with long ttk primaries. It has to be hard to balance.

Exactly. 8 meters is the furthest distance most shotguns can kill from. That's insanely short. It's the speed of the game and the fact that primaries suck that cause shotguns to appear OP.
