they earn their subs fair and square, they do giveaways to show that they actually care about their subs and want to engage with them

if they use an automated system for a giveaway (which is highly likely if you are dealing with more than 100 subs) then they have no control over who wins, it's picked at random from whatever system they use. now you could create another one and sub at a chance of you winning your own prize, somehow I think that doesn't really happen though

I doubt that's a thing and I'm talking about people who are under 100 subs and I'm talking about people who are just starting off and are fishing for subscribers

100 isnt that big of a deal... Big channels do the draws on cam but smaller often just annouce who has won. Dont get me wrong I trust them when they do giveaways but you can never be sure if there are some black sheeps...

you are right, 100 isn't that big of a deal. but in terms of giveaways. if 100 entered that means each person has a 1% chance, if 200, 0.5% chance. if you control 1 account in a pool of even a low number like 100, you might win, but probably not

I hardly call "doing a giveaway and to be entered you must subscribe" fair and square. If I do a giveaway I wouldn't announce it somewhere else on social media. I'd announce it in a video on my channel to support my current subscribers, not get new ones.

it is completely fair. they want to show that they care about their Subscribers, so making a giveaway to only subscribers makes logical sense.

You misunderstand, a giveaway to subscribers you already have is amazing! However, doing a giveaway and to be entered into said giveaway you have to be a new subscriber, that's kinda cheap

if you are dealing with a large number of subscribers, which most people that do giveaways are, then you can't possibly bracket off some subscribers from others simply from the time they subscribed, that wouldn't be fair at all. I think you misunderstand the point of giveaways, it's not to get new subscribers 9/10 times. Sure they have to be subscribed to enter, but that is because it's supposed to be a treat for the people that care enough to subscribe

how am I beating around the bush? that would imply that I am somehow avoiding the question or statement, which I am not. you are upset about sub only giveaways, thinking it's just a cheap way to pull more subs. I am telling you that giveaways don't happen to pull more subs, they happen to reward subs for their support. so it only makes logical sense that the giveaway is for subs only. now do they get more subs by doing this? probably, but that is just a side factor, not the main purpose

I ALREADY SAID YOU HAVE TO SUB TO BE ENTERED AND IF YOU WERE SUBBED BEFORE THE GIVEAWAY YOU DON'T COUNT! I hate those types of giveaways, and they're a cheap way of getting NEW subs.
