I wouldn't be surprised if they announce dedicated servers and then just don't have them.

it will be an announcement along the lines of, we are investigating using dedicated servers for destiny 2, please stay tuned for more information in the weeks and months to come.. then destiny 2 will come out and there will be no dedicated servers.. there will be no announcement one way or the other until problems arise.. then they will say the chose to stay with p2p.

Yep. this is why smart people will prevail. and wait 2-3 weeks before purchasing. Well.. nm that.. Alot of destiny fans are well... less then smart. but hopefully there is still some smart ones out there.
