He's a kid that gets in trouble and has to call on Iron Man. Iron Man saves the day while he does nothing. I mean where's the Andrew Garfield Spider man where he could actually handle threats on his own.

He doesn't want Stark to do everything for him, he's not going to call him and ask for help. He wants to handle every fight on his own, but he's still inexperienced. We clearly saw that when he was fighting Captain America in Civil War, he should have wiped the floor with Cap given how strong and fast he is, but he didn't have the experience or fighting skill yet.

It was pretty convincing, I've heard several DC fanboys say that exact same thing. I may be Batman, but that doesn't mean I'm biased towards DC, I like them both equally.
