Oh, you and your party politics.
-
Democrats back then had the South and justified their questionable laws with "state rights" what does that sound more like today? And I don't see any modern day Democrat wave the flag. Southern Republicans on the other hand...
-
The kkk was founded by democrats. David duke was a Democrat his entire life. The kkk endorsed hillary. "States rights" is not an argument owned by republicans. Democrats didn't become as "fed should control everything" until later. Lincoln was a republican.

Edited by superassassin364: 12/5/2016 2:57:39 PM
The kkk was founded by democrats. Yes, but practically everybody condemns them now, even most Democrats David duke was a Democrat his entire life. Same point above The kkk endorsed hillary. Other kkk members endorsed Donald "States rights" is not an argument owned by republicans. Democrats didn't become as "fed should control everything" until later. This is more evidence that political parties change over time, for better or worse. And regarding state rights, you're right. It's wrong to say state rights is an argument only made by conservatives, but I have seen some make that argument for modern issues. Lincoln was a republican.
I know, and that doesn't make me think any less of him, given what I know about Democrats during the 19th century, the Republican Party at that time was much more preferable.

No I wouldn't. They were great on being anti slavery but both believed in government growth until this last century with the goldwater movement
-
Pardon me for being a bit confused, do you mean that about both Democrats and Republicans during that time?
-
Kkk endorsed Hilary? Really? You sure about that? https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/post-politics/wp/2016/11/01/the-kkks-official-newspaper-has-endorsed-donald-trump-for-president/?utm_term=.e09c5a8f8f29

They have endorsed both at different times. Also, the Washington post is the least reliable MSM besides Huffington post.

I can send you about ten other links from different sources. Also - http://www.snopes.com/kkk-endorses-hillary-clinton/

Ok.
Why are we talking?
-
Because you replied to my comment. Why start a debate and then backpeddle out of it?
-
I don't know. I thought that you were disagreeing with Hillary being endorsed by the KKK.
-
Did you read the link?

-
Yes they endorsed hillary

Click the link.

The Democrats used to be the conservative party. Not so much anymore these days, but some like Hillary Clinton can be considered what was once a moderate republican.

Hillary can be considered a wishy washy shill. She questioned Obamas "commitment to the second amendment" in 2008, then campaigned as the most ardent supporter of gun control ever to run for president. She was anti gay marriage than was all for it. She was trying to smear trump as pro war when she was more pro war herself. (Voted for Iraq, wanted no fly zone which would start a war with russia) Etc.
-
And Trump had 5 different views on abortion over the course of 3 days. Your point?

Proof?
