The Old Republic is no longer canon, and thanks to Disney (who thinks everyone only cares about the original trilogy) won't let any games come out set before Episode III.

But this is EA.

Who was given the rights by Disney. They can revoke them at any time.

Wouldn't hold up in court. Guaranteed. If Disney gave EA the rights to Star Wars games to do with as they please then EA can go to any CANON era of the star wars universe and make a game. Until you have a legitimate copy of any contract signed by Disney and EA, and a way to prove it's legitimacy you cannot say that I'm wrong and you're right or vice versa. I'm stating the common sense thing here. EA can do whatever they want with Star wars games because EA is THE ONLY publisher capable of funding any good selling star wars games. If Disney were to try to take the rights for star wars game development away from EA then they'd lose money in the long run and while money is never an issue with Disney they don't like making less in the present than they were in the past and since video games rake in WAY more money than movies do, Disney won't touch EAs star wars game development rights. Disney will allow them to sell whatever consumers want so if than means KoTOR or Clone Wars, they'll have it developed and sold. Star wars fans will pay for anything star wars unless it's complete garbage and the fans decide that Disney won't argue.
