How to get the Grasp of Malok
Hello all. I'm well aware of the fact that the farming omnigul exploit has been patched out if the game. That being said, I thought it was safe to believe that life all the other strike specific gear, if you use a Skelton key on the loot chest, you have a fairly decent chance of getting the loot you're looking for. However, I've done the omnigul strike several times, using skeleton keys on the chest at the end, and have yet to get a grasp of malok out of the chest, only the bond and 400 artifacts. Is the drop rate from the chest still ridiculously low? Do you have to do something specific to get the grasp (i.e. make the kills shot on omnigul etc.) Or can you only get it on the nightfall or something like that? Just looking for solid answers on how to get it because Google only brings up how to farm by killing omnigul on the slope. Hopefully it's not still a 1% drop rate from the chest too lol because then you'd have to get 100+ skeleton keys and waste them all on the will of crota strike. Thank you in advance for any help.

To anyone who cares. I finally got it during the Dawning, the new Omnigul strike. Idk what kind of roll it's considered; perfect balance, secret round, third eye?

Not sure if this skews the drop chances or not but on my Titan I turned in 3 to get grasps every time, but when I turned it in with my warlock I got 2 bonds both times. The same thing happened with the imago loop. One mark on my Titan and one gun on my warlock. It may be just a massive coincidence but something you may want to consider when turning in keys...

Welcome to RNG. There were Desticles who said that skeleton keys were a good thing when they were introduced. Yep, true story.

I've gotten one every time I used a key. Guess it's just more RNG crap you have to fight against.

Just gotta keep trying. I got mine with a near god roll on my second key but ever since all I got are double warlock bonds

I think 95% of the time RNGesus is a dick that gives you stuff to laugh at you. Worthless perks and the same stuff you've already gotten a bunch of. And then that little 10% is crappy because even when you do get it to drop it usually has crap perks. I lucked out and I've used 5 keys on the chest and gotten three to drop. Each one was horrible. Has maybe one perk or maybe a sight but then that's it. It's hard to get a good roll on it.

3 RepliesI think when I got my couple of grasps, I just chose the strike from the director. I ran it 4 times, opening the chest each time, and only pulled 2 grasps. It's just crappy luck man. If you want to grind the strike some more, I'd be happy to help. I need more keys/grasps :)
