That is just a bad idea in every way. Just imagine you're in trials versing 3 self res warlocks with double fusion, ram, ophidian aspects, voidfang vestments, and transversive steps(those aren't that good but still help). Then they're using something, something, and a gjallarhorn and/or truth.
Imagine bladedancers running mask, shinobu's vow, tarantella, and bones or frost ee's.
Or a Titan with helm of saint, no backup plans, twilight garrison, and dunemarchers. The amount of OP combo's you could use with the ability to use multiple exotics is ridiculous, and it should NOT be in the game.

Sounds awesome!
-
Yes!!! Dude that would be a f'ing blast! I think the more important question is, why don't you want that? This is supposed to be fun right? What's more fun than shitting all over each other with insane ability boosting armor sets and weapons? The problem is players with such low self esteem who obsess over their kd as it makes them feel superior to others. They make it a lame job when its supposed to be about fun.
-
By that logic matador and thunder strike should have more range.
-
Like a real world shotgun, absolutely. I pray you shotgun haters don't pick up battlefield 1, you will lose your shit lol.
-
As much as shotguns in reality have much much more range than destiny, it would be completely unbalanced to have more range/impact on them. There would literally be no reason whatsoever to pull out a primary or heavy.
-
Not with Bungie's garbage map design
-
Bungies map designs encourages special weapons...
-
Everyone will be able to do it not just one person so it's fair across-the-board.
-
Not really. I could go into a rant about why that's completely untrue related to the game, but let's keep it simple. Anyone can go kill somebody, but does that mean because it's possible everyone should do it? No, that's ridiculous. There are also many other reasons why this shouldn't be in the game, but I think what I just said should be enough.
-
While I respect your opinions there are others that would like this feature in the game and nothing is perfect. This could be implemented in a start off on PVE to see how it goes
-
Seconded, I would totally love this multiple exotic idea as a pve feature. I think it would add to how people play by giving them the ability to plan out their gear for new strategies and prepare for any challenge. For pvp, maybe as a third alternate to the current system, like mayham is to normal play as would super is to normal play.
-
It's mind-boggling how people are against this idea you know how crazy fun it would be? Lol. First off your guardian would look badass. Second it would be a good idea for mayhem your guardian is supposed to feel powerful
-
Edited by GoodSugar309: 11/28/2016 4:37:26 AMI think the idea itself is good, but the problem is the balance of everything. There are so many exotics that are just useless and forgotten because of other ones outshining them. If they made the game much more play style based and to the point where using a certain build will not put you at a large disadvantage, then this idea could work. And I honestly don't think bungie is capable of this atm.
-
When it comes to balance I think people need to figure out that for themselves. there are exotics that counter other exotics. As far as I seen each class can have a real nice exotic build. It may take a while but when people find a nice void, arc or solar build then they'll know what to use in PVP. As for PVE I think people will mix and match the depending on situations
-
Countering is a good thing. If that were the case it would mean no exotic/build is top tier and better than everything else. But here, there is always 1 exotic that is hands down the best in almost every slot for every class/subclass. And that's very bad for this game. Other games it might work out great, but for destiny I think it's a dumb choice. I could go more in depth, but I think you can see what I'm saying here.
-
I would like to see Bungie experiment at least in private matches to see how people like it
-
That would be very good, maybe even add an in game polling system for those types of ideas. However I don't think bungie really cares enough to do that. They'd probably just add it in without saying anything based on their repute.
-
If they do at it I just hope they add it and little by little in the game, that way people can get used to it and see exactly where that feature belongs in the game
-
I agree, but I don't think bungie really wants to take that much time on a game that is going to be flushed out in a year anyways. They're already working on destiny 2 and it doesn't look like they have the ability to handle multiple things at once anymore like they did in the old halo days.
-
Who cares? You'd be able to do it too
-
It's an issue of power creep. Take Mayhem for example. Sure it's fun, but does it's outcome reflect skill? No. No matter how much skill you have, a stray nova bomb will kill you regardless of what you do. Making everything overpowered takes reaction time out of the equation and puts luck above all else, eliminating thought from the game.
-
Edited by EVIL VENOM: 11/28/2016 2:49:55 PMI don't believe wearing full exotic gear will function like mayhem. Perks versus a game mode that boosts your agility giving you power crates and boosting you super recharge is totally different than wearing full exotic gear. Even so if the perks in some exotic gear that gives you you're super to come back faster still doesn't compare it to mayhem
-
While I'll some game modes is about skill, but not all game modes should be about skill some should be about pure madness and fun
-
As opposed to the current issue of "Power Leak"? I'd much rather face an opponent who is equally stacked in power rather than the two of us throwing marshmallows at each other, which is what's happening now. That's why specials are treated as primary, ttk's that are too long. There is no thought that goes into PvP in this game to begin with. Gun skill don't change but you'll see a shift in the usage of abilities, which were exclusive to this game and made it fun and different. Hence why mayhem is such a popular mode, its pure chaos and abilities everywhere.
-
The problem isn't that primaries suck, it's that they're way too inconsistent. You can always count on a shotgun kill, but primaries are way too inconsistent and require way too much luck (and in some cases skill) to want to use. Maybe multiple exotics usable would make completely DESTROY the games customization and relaxation. Added with SBMM you will never be able to take off that 1 build for your subclass.
