I'm gonna say Gen 3(gen 4 close 2nd), but gen 7 is REALLY doing it for me. I really love all of its additions, the story is good, team skull is da bomb dot com, the characters are memorable, yeah! I think battle royals could have played a bigger part in the game, woo!
I think having Looker appear at the end was really interesting, and I'm excited to see where it goes. I wanna hunt those ultra beasts!
• Shouldn't have read the spoiler but I'm glad he's back despite the fact that he's an ass who steals all the credit in platinum.

 • Although I selected gen 2 as my favorite official pokemon generation, I have found that the amazing indie game, Pokemon Uranium, trumps all the Nintendo products in multiple ways. These include pokemon concept designs (e.g. flaming velociraptor in PU vs. a fiery hairball spewing kitten), the story arc (which includes the concept of danger, death, and nuclear meltdowns), and the level of challenge (npc trainers are vicious, act intelligently, and have teams perfectly tuned for battle). It's sad that pokemon uranium wasn't the next official release by Nintendo instead of this Hawaiian themed garbage.
