I disagree. Classic playlists aren't meant for players to grind for specific legendary weapons. They're meant for those that don't have the latest expansion so that they can continue to play multiplayer game modes, as long as they have peer-to-peer connection.
My assumption for Bungie putting these legendary weapons in Classic Playlists is so that more players will play in that playlist, since the only people in them are people without R.O.I. However, I don't think this is a good idea, and Bungie should allow these weapons to drop in current R.O.I. Playlists.
