Learn to slide hop, and try the first smg and second anti Titan gun.. Also buy Tone, great Titan.
Slide hopping is easy with a scuff or elite controller, just sprint to get speed and slide to start going really fast, then jump and immediately hit slide in the air. Then jump as soon as you hit the ground, hit slide again, etc. It's like Titan skating, you'll be crazy fast.

I got one recently and might I ask what layout you use if it's not too much hassle.

Honestly I rarely use the paddles. Controller just feels nicer. I have one paddle on the right set to A for jumping in Destiny so I can skate and aim. I don't do pvp enough to need one for revives. On titanfall I keep one on the right for jump and one on the left for sliding. Just a heads up on the controller, after about 6 months the rubber grips started coming off, I used gorilla glue to put them back in place and they're back to being good.
