My personal favorites are Tone and Legion. They're real heavy hitters and are fairly versatile.
Weapons, I've always been partial to M14 style rifles so the G2 was automatically my speed, but the Flatline is a nice reliable pilot killer as well.
Secondaries are a give and take. I'm usually lugging around a Softball to chunk down titans and reapers, but if you want to stick to the pilots and and minions I like tge Mozambique.
As far as kit and boost, I can't live without my grapple hook (why was this not in the first one) and a well timed maphack is always welcome.

I like the Northstar but I wish the railgun would charge faster or the tether trap would have more range. Either way it's so funny to see a giant robot floating and launching rockets and rail gun shots at you

Every titan has its utility, I was just never a fan of the railgun even in the first game. Same chasis, the Ronin can really get in people's faces and -blam!- up their day. I've played that one a few times and I like it, it just doesn't suit my normal play style.
