I would like to try vampire lord at least once but I like doing shit during the day

This becomes a none issue once you get Auriel's Bow. One Blood Cursed Arrow shot directly into the sun will solve all your problems as a Vampire Lord in the daytime.

You can still be out during the day, it just halts regeneration. With a good Restoration (40), you can restore Stamina & Health with any Restoration spell, and then you simply need to equip anything with Magicka regen, so your Magicka comes back up.
