I understand what you're getting at, but the Grimoire being removed from gamer tags was done so for the exact reason you want it there - exclusivity (at least, according to Bungie). While exclusives can be a great way to show off accomplishments, they can, and have, led to bullying and elitism. Don't have Hard mode Emblem? Kicked Low grimoire? Kicked People will, and do, use any means necessary to to show their "superiority", even if is unnecessary for the task at hand. The sad part is that it's only a small percentage of gamers acting this way, but their presence looms enougg to warrant removal or limitations of said items.

  • Yeah I hear ya. I spent all of year one without a Gally and it was frustrating at times finding groups without one. The hunt for one was one of the biggest draw for me in the game. I haven't felt that way about any weapon since. I also think that offering or taking away cosmetic pieces for achievements will not change people's behavior. People will act like elitist dicks regardless of gear, they're most likely people that you'd be happier not playing with. I feel like giving players exclusive items to strive for adds an overall positive and competitive benefit to the game. That's just my opinion though, I can see where you're coming from though.
