The other issue is that you can not transfer keys to or from Characters except in person, or you get the message:
Items of this type can only be transferred in-game. I know, we're bummed about it too.
So quit being bummed about it and allow us to move them around!
Same goes for Sigils too.

Yeah fix the glitches and let us transfer keys!!!

I'm fairly sure that's to prevent people from using transfer glitches to duplicate them

Yeah I believe people were duplicating skeleton keys and perfected siva offerings
