Feel sorry for muslims with bad knees or hips. That constant praying must be painful.
Is that a ignorant comment or just observation?

It is an observation. However as is stated in the Quran, God does not make religion hard on us, and as such if pain is too much to bear for prayer, one may sit in a chair or even lie down.
