I always prioritize Discipline. The only way I'll accept a Int/Str armor is if it's the only one of a set I have for that slot. Each of my characters can have a tier11 build with three prices of a set and one exotic.

I started off that way too. I threw away all pieces that didn't match what I wanted maxed, but I learned that's one reason for why I could never reach T12. I like a Int/Disc set-up: 5-5-2. I learned that I have to have at least 1 - Int/Str, and 1 - Disc/Str pieces of armor in my setup in order to reach T12. So now I keep anything that is T12 capable, because it might fit in with a certain set of armor, and maybe my regular set of armor won't get me to T11 or T12 without that piece.
