This Election has done more damage to Offtopic than any troll.
Seriously, this shit has torn us apart.
Can we all shut the -blam!- up about who's better or worse? They both are -blam!-ing terrible and the fact that we let this happen is a mistake that is too late to fix. We should all deal with it and hope the next 4 years won't be as bad as it seems.
Can we just go back to talking about shit that we like that would give any normal person cancer and shit that any normal person likes that gives us cancer?

No matter who wins this election, we will only be more polarized and more hateful toward the opposition. Just the thought of the direction this country is heading sometimes leaves people talking about leaving the country, not standing for the national anthem, unfriending folks, you name it. Heck, I admit I'm polarized as well. Never before have I been so adamantly opposed to liberals, their viewpoints, and pretty much anything they support. Didn't use to care what someone's views were, didn't even define myself or others based upon stances on the issues, but now, it's like I am perfectly fine being respectful or even having civil debates with a liberal, but I would never help one out or be friends with one.

It's done damage to America, because whereas before the insults and mud slinging was just to get the edge over political opponents, now it's become the political platform itself, as a replacement for policy and political opinion. Of course that's going to be reflected here.

They won't even speak to me anymore. What I don't understand is the hate for the other candidate. Like, if you like someone, vote for them. You get your one vote and we'll see what happens in November when the people decide. And I don't understand why everyone gets so -blam!-ing angry when someone disagrees with their opinions.
