Bungie does not test its own game for solo players. They have some bizarre desire or need to punish solo players at every turn.

They aren't punishing anyone, they just want it to be focused on multiplayer. It's their choice. I'm frustrated all the time by the multiplayer focus because it's such a fantastic game otherwise, but I play anyway because the mechanics are very nearly perfect.

I'm doing great. It's quite strange that a online multiplayer game doesn't cater to single players.
