This is the best way to do it. Been doing it the last couple nights. Got into an event with 5 others. We continued to run it for the next hour or so, everyone just using up their offerings. was a blast.

I'll try that next time, I didnt know the area transitions were actively dropping you into different instances.

Yea crouch walking into the forge seems to work almost always for me. I usually get matched in with multiple players.
