If the scorch cannon works like a normal one you just keep holding after it fires, if you miss the intended target you can abort detonationn by just letting go and it will be a normal shot. If you keep holding you will hear like a crunch sound as the bomb grows in intensity and a rapid beeping tone before it reaches max intensity and explodes
